so, its been a slow weekend on e9coupe

Finally finished my heavy maintenance on the Q-ship (Audi Q7), Supercharger off & inter-coolers cleaned, piston soak, plugs, coils, crankcase vent (what a bear), water pump, thermostat, oil pressure regulator switch.

With all that finally done I spent the weekend helping my son do some electrical work at his house in Philly.

I have projects for the coupe, but didn't have room in the garage over the winter because of the Q7.

Funny you should notice....II guess many have been a bit distracted lately. In my case, I have finally completed the structure that will cover my 1967 Airstream Overlander Land Yacht, so restoration can begin. Got a head start as contractor is local and he was able to fit segments of the construction in around atmospheric rivers, other jobs, his trip to Philippines and so on. But structure is up and I have gutted the inside. Really wanted to get a close up of the subfloor status. These are often pretty "punky". However, I was fortunate to discover, only a small section in rear bath area, has some rot. Easily repaired. Big sigh of relief, as I was not sure I had the "runway" for the "shell off" restoration so many You Tubers experience and film. So, onwards and upwards! Starting to drive Coupe more regularly and the local BMW Club has a drive scheduled in a few weeks. As others have mentioned, still check in to read about and get motivated to do something when I see how others are improving their Coupes!

Wow, that's a project. I'm impressed and envious - I am one step behind you in car ownership, having an 01 540 a 72 3.0 CSi but always lusting after an E24...
If I ever pull that trigger I think I'm going for "upkeep car" rather than "rebuild car"

This baby will be an upkeep car when its done. Two owners, all service records going back to day one, and we will have gone through every system in the car by the time we are done.
