SoCal Viintage BMW Meet - VERY IMPORTANT UPDATES

Drivers!

We are TWO WEEKS away from the SoCal VIntage BMW Meet and if you have not yet registered, we STRONGLY encourage you to do so to ensure that you don't get shut out of any goody bag swag - and we're going to have great stuff again as usual. We are again going to have an amazing meet, with over 200 cars (some very special cars coming) and the bad weather is now gone! Go to the socalvintagebmw.com website and go to the 2010 Meet page, and click on the red registration link at the bottom.

The food will be fantastic this year. We are having one of LA's popular gourmet food trucks, Barbis Q (http://www.barbiesq.com/) at the Meet and they will be there ready to serve food at 11! No long lines from Twitter nonsense, just good Carolina bbq - I've had it and its great (especially the beef). There will be plenty of beverages for sale on the truck (no alcohol - not allowed in the park AT ALL) but we recommend you bring plenty of water to make sure you're hydrated through the morning and the rest of the day.

We have been working extra hard to make sure the event is everything we want it to be and what you expect from us. Unfortunately, a lot of that extra work is getting through all the red tape and onerous regulations and added costs that we were informed of - last minute - by the Parks Dept of the city. We are getting through it all and you will not notice anything different - other than the portable toilets and wash stands since the rest room building is shut due to environmental reasons.

Due to all the added burden that the City of LA has put on our event, it may very well be the last time we do our Meet at Woodley Park. We will have fall Meets going forward and they will be great, they may even still be at Woodley, but we will explore other venues. It is a lovely setting and we're not happy about it but the histrionics involved are just too much to suffer. So, this very well may be the farewell SoCal Vintage BMW meet at Woodley Park, so we encourage you all to be part of it, as we may be closing the chapter on this part of our growth - but we'll close it with style(ing).

Other than that, we will rock it in two weeks. Register if you haven't already done so. This year's meet is one you don't want to miss.
