SoCal Vintage meeting - October 31, 2015

well Andrew, did you get the itch to buy any of the cars that were for sale?

Steve Kupper's KGB Racing autocross car, at $15K has tempted me since he decided to sell it over the summer. It's an iconic '02 in the 2002FAQ community.

What an incredible event! I came home exhausted, caked in dust (me AND my coupe), and sunburned. And despite all that, it's been a long while since I've had such a huge smile on my face.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to introduce themselves. It was great meeting so many of the great folks on this board out in the real world (if, in fact, Woodley Park counts as the real world).

Glad everyone had a great time - it's really what John & I strive for - and a lot of folks tell us it's their favorite show as there is no pretense and its a meet. Bay Area is like that as well, why we support it.

Sorry I didn't get to meet more of you (I"ve missed Andrew Wilson twice now this year, Bay Area and our show) But a big thank you Stan and Chris, Andy and Michael for the Mariachi entertainment - all the OC guys for their expertise and assistance. Stan, show off that SoCal Vintage BMW Windshield shade in NH - you'll be the only one with it!

Really glad everyone had a good time - thats the whole point of all this to us. Next year will be a big one with the BMW anniversary - we will be enlisting help in an organized fashion....

Jeff, sorry we've missed each other twice. We probably saw each other but didn't realize it. We will meet either in May of 2016 at Brisbane, I plan to fly out, or at Legends in August when Cindy and I drive Athena cross country.

You put on great event, worth the trip from Brunswick, ME. Have to try and get you to go to The Vintage in May in Asheville, NC or the Mid America '02Fest in Eureka Springs, AR in April.

Andrew

Thanks for the kind words - we'll cross paths for sure in 2016, somewhere. Glad you thought the trip was worth it. We've been to Brunswick, loved the art museum at Bowdoin, and the chowda was pretty good there as well - but not as good as the stuff at Cappy's in Camden. I'd fly across the country for that. And a stop at Young's Lobster Pound in Belfast. Ok, now I need a lobsta roll for breakfast.....
