[Thomas, MI story]...Never forget coming back into MI from the Soo, in 76, in my beloved 72 2002 at about 1:30am, headed for Harbor Springs, and the nice officer asked my travel mate and I to step out of the car, while he proceeded to take his pencil and dig around in the ashtray. Smiled and asked if there was anything in the trunk that he would be interested in. "Oh, no sir", in unison. "Get on home now, its sorta late, and you're sorta lucky." You think? Haven't thought about that in a while...

Can't remember where I heard it, maybe a one of the car shows we used to be able to go to. Somebody was looking at the interior and console of an e9 and said "look two cigarette lighters, Damn those Germans take their smoking seriously".
