Sold: New Strut Bar (daddywad) - $450

Hi Folks,

A few years ago we did a strut bar group buy. I missed out but a local member sold me his. This is new in box and is simply amazing. I’m offering at the group buy price of $450 plus shipping. You can’t get them new at that price. I also heard that @daddywad may be out of them but I’m sure he will make more eventually.

I am doing a CSL tribute. I just learned that this will interfere with a factory CSL hood prop. That messes with my anal retentive engine bay plans.

Due to COVID, I’m sticking with domestic shipping on this. Again, you can always buy one new from @daddywad in the UK. He is attention to details is noteworthy, and I’ll still be running his airbox.

Hi Johnny, it will fit your coupe without mods. I could see that mine was a little tight due to my cowl being a little dinged up.

Many thanks to @Keshav for the history on this highly sought after strut bar. It's not an Alpina design, hence my inability to find Alpina cars with it installed. It was originally created by "mangold".

Edit - @Keshav showed me how his (original) fits with the CSL. I think I read on facebook that @daddywad may be out of pocket at the moment. He can speak to fitment for any CSL owners that are interested in this bar. I’m fixed on a spartan engine bay now.

I know what you mean. I pulled it out of the packaging for the first time to do a fitment confirmation and ultimately snap pics. When I laid it down on the blue cover I think a tear came to my eye! I really need two E9's.

I need a set of those also. I think most people are leaning towards carb CSL’s not having them. Fortunately I don’t own a real carb CSL. I’ll deviate towards the asthetics if the covers with my someday tribute.

regarding the side covers......how thin/ thick are they compared to the flimsy originals? That the carb Csl’s don’t have them was cleared up a while ago by Yannick himself.

I was one of the two 'originators' of the group buy. Ultimately, I did not install my bar before the car was sold last year, so I still have a NEW bar, identical to what Markos posted, and I'll sell it for exact same price. Shipping from zip 19382 via FedEx probably, as I have a FedEx account which reduces cost a little bit. Didn't want to post this until after his bar was sold.
