Sold: New Strut Bar (daddywad) - $450

No, you need to relocate the stay the other side of the firewall using the same hole to pivot it.
The stay will then cross over the heater cover plate. Small price to pay

I'm real happy you guys are recycling my strut braces ! When your'e done I have more if needed ! ;):)

Ok glad I’m not crazy. I’m guessing your CSL customer count is quite low given the tendency to stay factory. Also, you have a wooden hood prop in your advertisement. :D

This is a complete non-issue for any CS owner using the factory hood torsion setup.

Very true Markos. I sell the wooden ones for $50.00 although quite a few people make them already

M:)

Well I’m a big fan of european grains, so I could see myself going for one of your custom wood props. :D

I used a cardboard tube on my parts car for two years. This is why I have no concerns about a static prop on a steel hood.

How come, although mine is not from @daddywad but the design is the same and the prop is where it belongs and works just fine? Where lies the difference? Possibly the thickness of the strut frame?

Good point Keshav, maybe they just sneaked yours along a bit by drilling a second hole?? Also my Mangold strut has the bolt holes in the same place as yours. The standard strut top bolts are in a different position so when I reproduced them they were correct for the CSLs that I had access to. would your car have the original CSL bolt holes under the plate as well as the ones to suit the Mangold strut??
Check the pictures you posted. I think we may have had this conversation before?
