I had one of the shifter mounting bosses professionally TIG welded and reinforced.

Bellhousing nor the shifter is included. Easy to find a bellhousing for your block and use the shifter from your existing 262, or get a new short shifter from UUC or a Z3 shifter.

Works well in an E9, E3, E12, E24, E30 M3, or even a Pagoda W113, Buick, or early Volvo.

$1100 plus shipping from Seattle.

And I put an e21 shifter in my car when I did my five speed conversion, which is another option in addition to those mentioned.

Hey Rob - can you highlight the difference so I don't make a mistake here. I thought I got it from the stash I picked up from Maxfish, but I know I got an automatic tranny from him too because I didn't bother to try to sell it after the trouble I had selling the one I pulled from my car. So maybe not.
