I feel I should change my forum name to "eleventh hour parts", because I keep finding more coupe parts at the eleventh hour.

This is the rocker moulding for a coupe, right side. It is in very good condition. It seems practically new to me, but I suspect it was on a car for a few minutes. I have not cleaned it or fussed with it - just unrolled it, snapped some pics, and offer it here for $100 plus shipping. Sorry, no hardware.

Let me know if you have any questions.

It's not for me, but would you know if it is a repro from Walloth&Nesch, or an BMW original? It'll make a difference perhaps to someone.
You can tell by checking if the ends of the front and rear are cut off at an identical angle: if they are identical angled its repro. Tehse Reproduction parts are also 'non-handed': the same piece fits both L and R side.
If the angles of the ends are different, then it's an original BMW part - thus making this a unique right side part.

Looking at the pics, not easy, it looks like the angles are different, thus BMW original? also the little repeating depressions on the backside are typical of the BMW parts.

Original, thus limited, thus more exclusive?

Hi Erik,
This is why I love this forum. Great information - I just learned something. I didn't know that WN was making repros. I am aware of the two different angles. In fact, while cleaning off my shelves, I found that I had hand drawn/traced the two different angles on some graph paper. The difference is subtle, but it is relevant.

I believe I have a buyer for this part. Pending...

I can confirm that this rocker moulding is, in fact, "handed". It is for the right side. The front edge is raked about 10 or 15 degrees more than the rear, which matches the design of the car as intended. Also, and I am not certain of this, but from the photos on WN it appears their construction was completely different. The body of their moulding appears to be solid rubber/plastic with threaded nuts cast into it. Whereas, the original is hollow and requires nut assemblies that slide in a track.

Anyway, this is the real deal. I believe a sale is still pending. I'll provide an update shortly.
