Sorry everyone, I am from Vancouver, B.C. Canada. I assume this is a US forum and the currency is in US fund.

Boy is in Vancouver.
I have never seen an original toolbox that had zero cracks. Does it have tools?
Likewise, a crack free dash pad and grab rail? Where were you storing these parts. It must be the fountain of youth. :)

I would say that the complete dash is worth at least $1,500 if there are no cracks. It would cost about $2K - $3K to refinish a complete dash. I would keep the instruments separate and the cluster wood with the dash package.

Do you have the aluminum trim that goes on the dashboard wood? I have a spare that I could sell to trade.

but i agree with your observation, there a,re differnces between the repro and the original tool box, and his tool box is almost perfect
Yes, sometimes after lunch my posts sound a bit crunchy. I need a snickers bar to recalibrate towards constructive. This is also true late in the evening after a glass or two of an adult beverage.

But the point I was trying to make was to simply ask about the value equation of an original versus a reproduction part like the toolbox. Agree that this case appears to be in enviable condition. Pretty amazing.
