I liked Max in the good ol days, when Wegweiser was working there.
Now I go with Steve Blunt for the last several years. I have a good relationship with him. He is knowledgeable and I trust him. Actually I learned about him on this forum, and I quote Doug (Decoupe) from 2011 :
"I whole heartedly could recommend Steve Blunt
http://www.blunttech.com/ for OEM parts based on service, advice, information and price, for both my e9 and e10, over the last three years. Anyone frequenting the
http://www.bmw2002faq.com/ site knows of him and likely would agree. Especially helpful via email/internet for those of us in the more remote corners of the world (North America at least)."
Doug is right.
By the way, I purchased some parts for a friend's E30 in France this summer, that were on sale from Wallothnesch. 20 years ago they sent me a parts catalog that I used for years until realoem went on line, but I never bought a thing from them. Not only are they pricey but shipping is way to much to the US. I have to say that their service is absolutely top notch, and they took back a set of solid rotors that I should have verified on the vehicle because it turned out they were ventilated, and still gave me a deal. Price is not all, sometimes you want someone on the other end of the line who knows the car better than you do.
