Hello All!

I am thrilled to announce that registration is OPEN for Southeast Sharkfest 2015. Will be based out of the Legacy Lodge & Conference Center on the shores of beautiful Lake Lanier in Buford, GA. Things will kick off on the evening of April 23rd and conclude on the evening of Saturday April 25th. For anyone planning on attending the Mitty at Road Atlanta or who lives in the Atlanta area, this is a no-brainer!

I'm really looking forward to good e9 presence... especially since I now own one. Actually one and a half. Actually four if you put all the parts together. Anyway.... as we did last year, we will have a judged e9 class and, if I do say so myself, our trophies are worth having. Beyond that, the company of other sharkers is tolerable. :) Some of the folks on this forum were present last year, so hopefully they can attest to their good treatment. Amy? Scott? Bueller? Anyone?

Visit www.bmwsharkfest.org to register online today! We have a limited room block, so make sure to make your hotel reservations as soon as possible. Reservation info and a link to online reservations can be found on the site.

Regards,
Kai Xing
Director, Southeast Sharkfest

(I posted something in Events, but I didn't want it to be missed. Mods, if I'm violation the TOS with my semi-double-post, I apologize and feel free to remove this). :(

Sharkfest 2015

Thought I would say a few words about Sharkfest 2014.

It was a great time! Bravo, good job!

Being invited to a 6er event was different but we were welcomed. Lots of fun things to do but for me just being with other coupe owners is always a draw. I have always thought to have a 6 alongside my CS would make for a complete garage but that probably is not in the cards. SO I was able to see plenty of well cared for/loved examples at the only big 6 gathering I know of in the US.

And yes, Kai's remark about a worth while trophy - I won it with only one point from the worthy and gracious George Whiteley. The trophy is made from wood salvaged from the Kennedy Center's organ no less. Holy Cow! I feel privileged to have won it for many reasons. It is a work of art.

Regrettably I will not be able to attend this year's Sharkfest but it was a sincere privilege to have attended last year. Do put it on your must do events for 2015!
