What type of spark plug cable is recommended for coupes? Resister or non-resister? I've had after-market cables for 20+ years (no idea what I bought), wondering if they should be changed out now. Thanks for any help.

Kingsborne makes very nice non-resistor sets for old BMWs

Though, I prefer having the little boot on the bottom to keep the brown ceramic section from rattling or getting chipped/broken.

I have Kingsbourne 8mm wires on my E9, Bavaria, M6 and 635. Even get to choose the color! This was a Bert P recommendation.

If you are already running or considering installing an electronic ignition there's this from Pertronix -
"As with all modern electronics, our modules must not be used with solid core spark plug wires. Suppression core spark plug wires can be found in the spark plug wire section of this catalog"

the whole thing, from distributor to spark must meet the required resistance, so the answer depends on your plugs too,

it is easy to know what you have, measure one of your cables
