I have had great success with DENSO Iridium plugs lately (in my 1989 BMW 325i - close enough?). If you are fuel injected, I would be cautious about platinum plugs in general. I suspect many here will advise copper core, but I think the important thing is to match up the resistance spec on the plugs and make sure it is compatable with your ignition system. If you are not willing to lose money experimenting, I would just go with NGK coppers.
