Speedo cable 5spd

The cable sleeve has separated (pulled out) of the metal crimped housing at the transmission speedo drive. There are three cables listed for the e12 donor Getrag 265 though ...399 looks out of production.

I would rather not pull the existing out to measure it - if someone can recall which cable is the best fit - as the unit still works if I push the sleeve into the housing.

Just get the e9 cable for the automatic . It´s a little longer than for the 4 speed manual and will thus work nicely for the Getrag 265.
Worked well for me.
If it´s not available, a normal E9 4-speed manual cable wii work as well, but it´s a tighter fit. It´s a stretch...
 
Ah, the auto cable - I think I knew that. Thanks for the hint.

Neither RealOEM or the conversion article by Carl Nelson have a number for the cable - anyone have that?
 
Speedo Cable

Thanks Tierfreund - RealOEM shows that as the one and only speedo cable cable for all years. I was sure there was a different one for the auto but maybe that was for the '02.
