Sounds good to me. Brum's about an hour from me, London's about another 45 mins on top of that. Either way it's any excuse for a good blast.

am not fussed where we meet, ie in brum, i am 20min away or in London, 1hr 30min away. e9's are made for long trips. or we cud do this lads ie have 1 meeting within the M25 and another 4 weeks later in Brum. any reason for me to get out of the house.
Sounds like everyone is keen - at this rate we will be able to start up the csl register newsletter!

nope, am still waiting for that info, but i know your a busy guy.
i have found/discovered some more CSL's that are in the UK.
i think there are alot of RHD CSL's still alive and kicking or stored away for investment.
These cars are to be driven and enjoyed, not stored away to make the owner(s) profit.
Looking forward to meeting you and the rest of the E9 owners at the meeting, when the date, time and place is set.

We could go as a 'club' and get our own little e9 area. As it's only on till midday, i'll see if i can find a local country pub where we can go afterwards for a spot of lunch and some masculine discussion about engines etc.

Having looked at there club bookings, they say that
a) The maximum they allow from any club is 10 cars within the display area. Although if we get more than 10 we could park else where. I'll book it for 10 now and we can see what happens.
b) "We do ask that all clubs endeavour to be in place for 09:00 at the latest as this minimises movement in the parking area. "
This will mean a bloody early start for some of us, although this does give me a chance to use up all my unlimited insurance miles in one go!

Quick update.
They've contacted me back and we're in! Turns out the guy that i emailed owns a B9 E24 and his favourite bmw is the e9. So he's more than happy to give us a group space to display our cars.
All i need to do now is find a nice pub for lunch and continuing praying for good weather...

Just had a load of work done on the 840 by Autobahn services. Was pleased with the work.

I'm not entirely sure at the moment Rohan, although it's hopefully just the battery. I went to take it out 2 weeks ago when we had that beautiful weekend and it would only turn over once then die. I could still hear the fuel pump going and the lights work so i didn't think it was the battery. I'd taken it out 3 weeks before and it started and ran fine.
Then last week i went to try it again and nothing. Turned the key, no pump, no starter, nothing. Although the clock still ticks and the lights work? I haven't had a good chance to look at it yet, but i'm going to charge the battery tomorrow and see what happens. Hopefully it's something simple.
Paul, the 29th June isn't definate yet, we just need to see which date will be the best for the most people. Also, did you get my email with gary's number?

Sounds like the battery to me. I have a cet of quick release terminals on the csl and they are dead handy as I disconnect it when putting her away and have never had to charge the battery. Worthwhile investment if it is not used more then say fortnightly.
I haven't seen a coupe on the road now for ages - I guess year by year they will be harder to just come across!

29th is looking good for me too.
James, I was toying with the idea of Le Mans, but it's not looking so likely now. A friend has a Porsche RS and they go on a mass Porsche entourage every year and he's been badgering me to take the CSL down and crash their party. Maybe next year.
