That size is better for higher compression engines with Cams and breathing improvements (Webers etc)
At least that is what I am hoping as I ordered this size for my application. The smaller diameter is better for a typical 3.0

Thanks for the heads up on these John. I purchased them for the 3.3 on Sahara. I decided to go w/ the Webers on the 3.3
