Stahl headers SOLD

These are a set of Stahl small diameter long tube headers. They still have the Stahl manufacturing plaque on them as well as the serial numbers stamped into flanges. They will fit everything from an E3 to an E28 according to Stahl's on line catalogue.. Jere Stahl, or Stahl Headers, can be googled and you will get very complete info on them. A very good read. I do not know if Jere Stahl is still alive, but he is/was known as the"king" of small diameter, long tube headers. They sold for $1300 new and are not a commonly found item. My price?? $700 plus shipping. I will take a good look at a mutually fair offer. I will be headed to Los Angeles next Wednesday, and if anyone is interested in buying them, I can meet somewhere and deliver them.read the post from Pamp and you will see these are a right deal.

i am interested - Stahl made 3 diameters as i remember. what is the diameter of these?

OD is 1.38 -1.4 So I am guessing that they are 1.4" and there is a tiny manufacturing difference in the tubes. Can't get far enough in from the flanges to measure ID. The exit tube from the collectors is 2 " I really would like to sell these, as I have other parts I am buying and have to pay for.

Headers

Judy is awesome. Inherited the 'biz from her Dad. At one point she wanted to sell all, the jigs for the E9....etc. Held on and will build the long tube headers to order. 1 3/8'' , 1 1/2'', 1 5/8'
Those would be 1 3/8....perfect for the 3.0 stock cam. 2 1/4 sizing after. Bert...that is a very fair price....under sold really. Korman wants double that. Great deal. All pipe is measured OD

I think I just ID'd my old mystery headers, they sure are very similar to those Stahls you posted.

Question to the group:
which are preferred, long tubes or the spaghetti 'alpina' types?
I have the smaller Stahl in now and recently acquired a set of Spaghetti s and am wondering before I take things apart.

Do you have any photos of your what you call "alpina style" and what is the pipe size? Be forewarned....when you install headers the A/C compressor needs to be pulled and out of the way....impossible otherwise I have found. "Preferred" I would say depends on displacement, cam, intake, and the size of the pipes you have.

no worries about A/C components, etc..
..engine bay is a streamlined set up for quick track side service, lotsa room ;-)

motor = 3.2L, 300deg cam, polished/ported head with Alpina oversized valves, dual 38s....vroom vroom!

Those look like Ireland Engineering or Paul Ladue headers...Anyone???
 
guys, i agree with Pamp - this is the real deal for a stock motor. i am toying with the idea of an s-38 ... or maybe a wild m30 ... not sure which yet. i have good buying experience with Bert and recommend him. i will probably kick myself for not picking these up ... but i figure somebody else might actually use them right away.

i had 1.5" stahl on my radical 2002 - it was awesome with a radical engine.
 
I really would like these sold. I am open to reasonable and mutually fair offers. I do have them on ebay and have received several offers I would have taken if not for their usurious fees
