I've been getting so protective of driving The Agave in untoward conditions that my first thought is ....why would I want to be driving it in poor light?

But, that's exactly why it's a good idea Andrew.

Email or text me Andrew...I'll buy one as well if and when available.

Chuck

is that a '61 lincoln next to it? you need to get a copy of eric clapton + bb king - riding with the king. listen to it, and go for a ride.

question for others - has anybody driven their coupe at night with the 3rd brake light? this pic makes it look like it might create a glare on the back window. just curious ... i'm going to put it in, i just haven driven my coupe with the other 3rd brake light i have.

I've driven my coupe, Athena, extensively at night. The light does light up the parcel shelf, yet not so much that it is distracting or makes it hard to see out the rear window.

I second Andrew - while driving in low light conditions (night, parking garage) there is a small amount of reflection. I think it's minimal, although de gustibus non est disputandum of course.

It's a 66 Lincoln, but the advice is still very appropriate.

rb, when you have time can you send a shot of the underside of your coupe- I'm interested in the pipe routing, it looks very unique.

Thanks

Rites of Spring

Finally got my coupe out of the garage today and went for a ride.
Installed a new pop-up wind deflector and then parked outside. An hour or so later the car was warmed by the sun so the window seal was supple enough to allow me to hide the wire.
Looks good. Tomorrow after work, step 2, remove the panel over the gas tank to allow the wires hidden access to the brake light. Easy Peasy

If those are LED lights with a self-adhesive back, they are available at most auto supply stores. They come in different lengths and colors.

Purchased mine from Advanced Auto parts about a year ago. They are hardly noticeable when off but very bright when brake is applied which is good.

If the person driving behind you doesn't notice when you apply your brakes, the fellow is either drunk or the car is driven by Stevie Wonder.

Stan that looks great. Plus a clean garage!

Next project is to control all windows from a single switch and sell the other three...

Sell the other 5, or 6 if I can get everything to open with the sunroof switch:D

A clean garage is the byproduct of having ample space in the basement :)
No basement in southern CA, what about in the Bay Area???
