I ran across something "curious" as I disassembled the steering shaft assembly. Specifically, I removed the lower steering shaft:
Once out, I noticed that it had three grooves milled into it. Referencing the blue book, this would be for a 'right hand' drive? It came out of my 'left hand' drive, power steering car. Any insight is appreciated. Did these cross pollinate? Performance upgrade? Strange old repair?
