I like both as well, hard to pick a favorite but maybe the caps.
Dick, i love it both ways. the stock trims + covers just look great on the Bav ... but the coupe wheels also look great. i have to say what i like about the trims + covers is the sparkle of the chrome.I mounted tires yesterday and swapped out steel wheels with the aluminum E9/optional E3 wheels.

The steel wheels/hubcaps/trim rings are still my favorite but I like the stock aluminum wheels a lot and it will be nice to be able to change up the look every now and then. I still want to see if we can make the center bore cap and exposed lug nuts work. That will give me a 3rd look.
I agree on the sparkle. That's the difference for me too. I think too often we are afraid of a little bling on a car when we shouldn't be.i have to say what i like about the trims + covers is the sparkle of the chrome.
Essentially the same tires on each set. 205 70 14 touring tires. The ones on the E9 wheels are Touring VP Plus from Discount Tire. 50,000 warranty, 540 tread wear, A traction, A temperature, speed rated to 118 mph. Hardly a performance tire. The ones on the steel wheels are similar but Toyos from Les Schwab.Do you have different kinds of tires mounted on each set?
I just had it refinished to see how it would look with the cap.Lovely looking wheel there Chris.
I thought about doing that too, but with all the environmental regulations in place now it's gotten really expensive to have anything re-pond scummed.I just had it refinished to see how it would look with the cap.
the wheel looks great both ways. - well done!!Here's what they look like with the Roundels....

The stock caps still go on with the enclosed lug nuts and the center bore caps. Easy to switch up the look...

Very impressive dual-threat...to be clear, the small cap is 36131117649, correct? I think that the price of old alloys just went up...
Here's a few more...Thanks...I made an offer to a guy on FB with some wheels/caps for his caps...Appreciate the correct part number, and the heavy lifting.
