Looking at installing new shocks on my E9 but I'm not certain if I have the original springs or if high performance springs have been installed. Can someone tell me by looking at the attached photo which spring is installed and the recommended shock absorber to install.

Probably not stock. Also appear to be cut on bottom, not much spring cradled by rubber

Most definitely not stock. Which one is it? Absolutely no way to tell. Recommended shock absorber? Do a search on this site. Hundreds of answers

Most people go with Bilsteins for the shocks. Some say they are harsh. They were with me. I replaced with adjustable Spax and really like the ride and adjustability.
