Stupid Q: Window defroster operation...

On when pushed in? Or vice versa?

Is it too supposed to light up when the lights are on? Or only when defroster is on?

Not sure if mine is working; elements seem to stay cold either way, but I don't want it draining my battery too if it's in the wrong orientation thinking it's off.

What would I know, here in Hawaii? But IIRC the defroster should be on when the button lights up. I think that's when it's pushed in....? But if it doesn't light up either way, maybe it's not getting power either way, so it won't work either way.

it's on when you push it and the knob comes "out". Off when pushed "in"..... i think

Just like the hazard switch, when you push it in it pops out, illuminates and powers the defrost wires.
