The sun has arrived, I've finished work for 4 weeks and the car is running awesome now after I sorted all the drive line issues.

Good times!

Four weeks of summer down under. I have Polaris too but with the ugly rear reflectors.

Beautiful. Is that lush jungle-like vegetation I spy.
Steve from soon to be snowy Pennsylvania.

Enjoy! Mine is tucked away since California got nailed with some pretty heavy rain. Should have her out on Christmas though.

Yes, the spot were I live is on the western out skirts of Auckland city, Auckland has a sub tropical climate so very green and lush year round.

Added benefit

One of the super things about the group here is that without knowing it, we are visiting so many parts of the world- we're just all driving the same kind of car :-)

Four weeks vacation!? Are you on the European plan...? I get a half day before Christmas, and a half day before New Years Day. Oh yeah, the other half day (each) we are to clean the office. Oh the joy.

That's a bummer Honolulu, but I guess you get other holidays during the year?

Under NZ law we all get 4 weeks annual leave a year along with 11 days statuary holidays ( Easter, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, etc etc )

It's tough but someone's got to do it!

Not a bad place to live, come on down!

Upside down under Christmas

Merry Christmas to all NZ and AS where it is Dec 25th already. We still have another day for that last minute buy of those must have OEM parts at inflated dealer prices.

My daughter is at the end of her 3 month travels through Aussi and NZ and will be enjoying Christmas without the snow and temps below freezing - no doubt lamb for dinner. I still find the whole dateline thing bizarre - she flies Wellington to Sydney to Vancouver to Calgary and arrives just 5 hours after she left on the same day.

Yes, Lamb is always on the menu Christmas Day down here, yummy :)

Hope we treated your daughter well Doug. Trust she has enjoyed her stay with us?

Absolutely, loved it.

Sheep shearing, 'possum shooting, surf casting and the complete circumnavigation of both islands by VW van. Her boy friend even looks vaguely like a hobbit.
