Sun roof cable

anybody know the difference between a cable for electric motor vs. manual crank? i have no idea which i have.

2002s have a longer sunroof panel than the coupes and open further, so I tend to think CS sunroof cables would be shorter. Can always get 2002 cables and try them.

I've read that Volvo 240 cables are a direct replacement for 2002s with the benefit being they have metal ends.

Volvo cables are the way to go - no plastic ends to disintegrate. Dunno about the length of the '02 cables, but the Volvo are definitely longer. Making them shorter is pretty easy - lengthening cables is what's tough.

I like the plastic end. It's a 'mechanical fuse'. Panel jams up-> motor burns out or gear strips instead of plastic giving way. I think it may have been a deliberate design element.
