Here are two photos of alternate drain routing. Originally the front sunroof drain discharged right into the rocker interior. I bent a 3/8" pipe to pick up the hose just below the 'A' pillar and then routed it into the "cave" and out through the bottom of the cave panel. The "cave" will be sealed from the wheel well to keep water out. That and the Volvo liners should keep the interior dry. The 3/8" pipe at the hose end was expanded to 0.4" diameter to fit the existing hose.

The rear sunroof drain already exits out behind the wheel well (why only here?). However, the 'C' pillar roundel scoop drains directly into the rocker panel. This was a surprise to me. Using a 1/2" copper street ell (expanded to fit over the 0.6" pipe, and brazed in place) a copper pipe routes the water back over the top of the wheel arch, through the small reinforcing panel (7/8" hole with a rubber grommet to hold the pipe in place), then intercepts the roof drain and continues out as before, behind the wheel well.
