Today i was replacing my painted valve cover, I decided to do some cleaning and was cleaning the external part of my distributor and noticed the vacuum advance housing was loose. I looked in the distributor and could see everything was attached.. I suspect my advance was not working. I tighten up both exterior screws. I took the car for a test drive and could not believe the transformation. The car drives faster with way less peddle required, it is amazing. My RPMs in normal traffic are lower also making the car quieter to drive. With old cars you never what you will find after 50 years of being on the road.
