Surprisingly decent coupe in NY ???

Right on John about the shock tower......

I love this big illusion story now day’s "NO RUST" and people really buy in to it over and over again >>>

“nicely restored & upgraded classic E9 coupe”
A.
It was painted "NOT RESTORED" some restoration shops call this kind of work on cars like this "BLOWJOB" restoration >>> The frigen strut is ready to go through the wheel-wells shock tower. And those are big hole there pal anyone can see, it is what you cannot see that would scary the hel! out of me.

“Euro spec CS that has been converted to correct CSi fuel injection”
A.
I bet if someone checks the Vin numbers it is a made for North American CS coupe with a newer North American injected cylinder. Even the newer North American big 3.5 M motors were detuned to around 185 HP. The biggest OEM motor built by BMW for these coupes was 3.3 liter, I had a 3.3 CSL once.

“Rebuilt Becker radio. Runs & drives great. Real Alpina wheels with very good tires.”
A.
Great, a Rebuilt Becker radio, OK. And the real heavy OEM “Real Alpina wheels”
BBS rims on my BMW’s balance at ¼ oz and 65% of the weight of the “Real Alpina wheels”.

Coupes done like this and that is 90% of them now days will not be driving on the road in the next 3-5 years. Restoration ground up is just that it start from the bottom then up, paint is the last thing>> NOT THE FIRST.

Its real simple, climb under and look at the undercarriage first. Any rust you see has came through almost a 1/8” of an inch of OEM rubber coating and has 70% more rust on the metal side.

Unbelievable the BS on restoration now days and ads that say "NO RUST", WAKE UP BUYERS IT IS NOT REAL, DON"T BUY INTO THE DELUSION AND END UP AS JUST ANOTHER JACKASS”.
There is a real reason people are just doing a blowjob paint job and selling these couples now days, basically before they just rust apart……………..

No, it had that 'new' leather interior when I looked into it. Strangely, the seller/broker couldn't tell me that it was in fact leather and said it could be vinyl/leatherette but he didn't know.
