Tail Lights

if you need them then price isn’t an object.

But be prepared to cough up 1,500 smackers, plus $65 for shipping, and an optional $15 for an ebay certified technician to spend 10 minutes explaining how to install them (which should be worth the $15 just for its entertainment value).

That's close to what I paid for a very nice pair three years ago, so the price seems okay even if it's a lot of $$$$.
There's really no option out there if you need them.

You can buy a really nice, single Bavaria tail light for $137. and free shipping. Like soooo many other parts, BMW could made them the same for our coupes. Drat.

Considering CK is selling just the left one for $1700, it makes this more palatable. (Not knocking their “make us sell it” prices for some items—makes perfect sense). Just alarming b/c my wife regularly backs into my DD & truck so I live in constant fear the coupe will somehow get behind her. Yes, she’s had backup cams for years.

Years ago I worked for guy who had a Volvo P1800. He asked me to run an errand for him and though I was very carefully backing out of the parking spot into the alley, I bumped into the telephone pole with the left rear corner of the car. Unfortunately, the design of the taillights was such that the outer edge stuck out beyond the bumper so even though I was going .01 mph, it cracked the tail light lens. Fortunately, it was easily available back then and wasn't very expensive to replace.

So at least our lenses are better protected even if they are made of unobtainium now. Because of this, in addition to my car's installed ones that could use a housing rechrome, I have a set of drivable condition assemblies ($225 each from ebay a few years ago) and a set of new lenses from Stan (I got on the list early).

Hi, I am Selling the taillights on Ebay, price wise I am open to offers if sold outside Ebay. As most off you know that Ebay takes a large chuck in fees. This does not mean that I am going to give them away. They truly are in good/new condition. Any interested parties can e-mail me on: [email protected] Or sent me a private message on the forum. Regards, Chris
