You absolutely can. But I'll tell you... It's harder to shop there than I would have thought. Just looking at a part or accessory on the table and trying to figure out if it fits X car isn't always that easy. Then price... Do you get online and look or just buy it and risk paying way over market or a copy... I spent two full days there in 2010 and struggled to see most of it. It's enormous. So, you have to give me full discretionary spending authority...

it is not the right place to buy anything, excepttion made of cars, and memorabilia, or accesories
there is not evenually none bmw vendor, you may find 20 mercedes specialist and not even one for bmw
i was there last year, and i wil never be back
you might find even a bosch specialist, that has not your parts needs, so he will offer you a website address and tells you to contact him after the exhibition days !
loosing time and money, IMHO
it is much better to check for visiting scrapyards around !

Was there in 2010 loved it Would definitely do it again BMW parts are not that available. If you are looking for specific Porsche parts you'll have better results.

I also will be there. Not looking to buy anything and my wife is tagging along....we are in
route to Madrid where our youngest daughter lives.
As long as the weather is good, I'll be happy.

I have been to Essen with a mercedes fanatic friend the last 3 years and totally agree unless it`s mercedes, porsche,or for some strange reason alfa romeo you are out of luck, the BMW stand will probably have a car sitting on its stand and that is it, i will however be returning to the show again next month as it is probably the best classic car show in the world, i would love to meet up with any like minded E9 fans who brave the trip.
I have just returned from stuttgard which is a smaller show, the outside car parks had plenty of E9`s and other various classic BMW`s but inside the show not one E9 was to be seen, i would love to know the reason for this if anyone can tell me.

True, not much practical use in TC. Not really a place to buy parts (any more) or get much (BMW) information. Rather a place to get sick on an overdose of 911.

BUT: It´s such a celebration of the classic car theme!

And if you go and look in the nooks and crannies (upstairs halls, outdoor car sales area) it´s still very good fun. Love the little car clubs (Trabant, VW, Opel) that put a lot of effort in creating neat displays.

And then back to the main halls amd admire some wonderfull pre-war Alfas, rare Jensens (and I don´t mean ubiqous Interceptors), strange Citroen-aera Maseratis etc.

I just love it.

Besides I live just 20 miles from it, what kind of a dork would I be not to go.

If anyone want´s to meet up and talk some gasoline (if that sounds odd: it´s a german version of "talking shop" for gearheads (petorlheads for our UK audience)), I´m up for it.

I'll be there Thursday, Fri, Sat. Always enjoy this fantastic show. We are staying at the Holiday Inn City Centre. We met up with some BMWCCA members two years ago and had a great time!

Hi all,

I have been living under a rock and am just reading this now. Will definitely be there, most probably on Saturday. Would love to meet a few fellow coupe-sters! Luis, we should have a beverage of your choice when you are there!

Aurel, I don't remeber the layout of the venue that well but maybe you can suggest a meeting point Saturday, say at noon for lunch.
