There are several members here who help out all of us regularly. SFDon, HBChris, Stevehose come immediately to mind. Sorry if my brevity has left others out. But I wanted to recognize Markos who seems, well... omnipresent. Like, he is ALWAYS on-line, ALWAYS offering some global evaluation of authenticity, provinence, value, when many of us really do not have any idea. I want to commend and thank him for his input and his presence on this Forum. We all benefit. Thank you Markos! Mike

Thanks Mike!

I’ll be the first to admit that of most of my “knowledge” is regurgitated content that I learned from BMW veterans and long-time forum contributors. I truely hope that this fact doesn’t irritate folks. After all, this is my first BMW and I’ve only driven it a 10 miles or so in 3 years.” I couldn’t tell you what the wind noise of the cabin is like at 60mph. I’ve never ridden in an e9 as a passenger, and I know nothing about 2002’s. I am good at “the internets”, taking things apart, measuring stuff, and snapping pics with my phone. I’ve never restored an e9 or haphazardly put one back together. It could be worse, I’m not addicted to facebook.

It is easy to get addicted to this site because behind the usernames are real people with real cars that really meet each other in real life!

I’ve been active on automotive forums since 1997 and this is the most drama-free and informative site that I have ever had the pleasure of frequenting. The historical and technical knowledge of the community is astounding!

Thank you for the kind words! There would be too many experts and veterans from this forum for me to thank. I’ve bugged most of them with PM’s, emails, text messages, and phone calls. Many thanks to
everyone.

Be happy to have you as a passenger whenever I drive South into the Seattle area. But please don't report on the level of wind noise in my Coupe at 60mph....cuz I don't drive that slow ;)
