If I was to ever have the means to acquire a classic Italian sports car, it would have to be a Miura, and in this Rossa/orange color. What a beautiful machine.

You should enjoy this then!. Even if youre not into carb balancing vids stick with it - the interview towards the end is worth the wait!

That was a very nice way to begin my Monday morning. The carb balancing was certainly interesting! Steve and I share that multi-carb fascination, so seeing an expert tune by ear was a treat. I've never been able to sync by ear, but I understand the concept. Tuning twelve venturis by ear is quite a feat! The balancing coin was fantastic... but did you also notice the engine has almost no movement on its mounts when he revs it? Very solid.

Thanks so much for sharing.

love the body lines of the Miura. i guess car regs don't let manufacturers make such pretty cars now - bumper heights, etc. such a shame as this is just pure sex. i saw a bright lime green one a few years ago at Amelia.. just a little ahead of one of my all time favorites the 246 dino.

That lime green one was next to me in my lowly e9 in traffic outside the Ritz at Amelia that year, I looked over and my mind was blown. Also a red one was broken down on the beach road on the way there, engine compartment open and 4 people looking nervously at it. That's a great event, need to get back to it.

TCW is my favorite automotive Youtube channel at the moment
One of mine too. Can almost forgive his terrible crooning over the sound of that glorious V12. My other favourite if you like lots of engineering chat, metal fabrication, 3D printing and top notch restoration / restomodding is Retropowercars. The series of videos documenting Gordon Murray's (yes that one) Escort Mk I build is particularly good. Hope they do an E9 one day o_O

Timely, as we just 're-watched' the original movie early last week, then 4 days later watched the remake. The original is better in my opinion, but my wife did not like the 'suspense' that leaves you (and others) hanging at the end!! Always fun to watch the stunt drivers 'exercise' the Mini's as well.

The original was also a bit of reminiscing, as I traveled to Turin quite a few times on business in the mid-80's, and remembered several scenes, as well as loving the drive getting there via the St. Bernard pass.

The Muira was one of the cars featured in Monterey in 2016, so we got to see several really nice examples. I too love the lines of that car.

Here's me, Doug Dolan, e9Wayne and his son Harrison, Stan, and Peter Coomaraswamy basking in the mojo of this little red SV:
