I really like the elegant simplicity of your '69 2800... No chrome trim on the body line, no side lights, no chrome wheel well arches.. Cool "flag" mirrors..
The body line is perfectly visible in the paint in your first photo.
The "AI comic rendition" is cute and has a "Cars" quality to it. But the center grille seems a bit funky.
Agree that the simplicity of the 2800 is impressive. The initial model of many cars is the most elegant; subsequent evolution just adds doo-dads and gee-gaws.
@dang did a really great job resurrecting the 2800 (he even took that photo).
I really was not a big fan of Chamonix, but when I saw the car in person during the build, I really started to like it, and when I saw it for sale, I knew I had to have it. We’ve really enjoyed it so far.
I think simplicity is really why I love it. Looks cool, drives great, lots o’power from the 3.5 transplant.
It’s the big brother to our 2002, it’s also a 1969 Chamonix with blue interior, although not on the same level of niceness. Soon…
