I've finally finished assembling my E9 pedal car. One of only a handful known to exist.
Thanks to BMWPete, who kindly loaned me an over-rider and indicator, i was able to have these parts 3d modelled and replicated by 3d printing, to replace those missing. I guess none of these cars had an easy early life .... Painted in Turkis just like it's big brother.

Camber plates? Looks like some added negative camber. Does the lever have a function? Drive disengagement?

Can you add a few more details? If you know, when and who produced these and where were they originally sold? Was Alpina involved?:D

Heavily modified competition?

Almost right and drive

Christopher
At least the steering wheel is not on the wrong side, however neither is it on the right side. But perhaps the brakes will work as they were designed to!

I see rust in the rockers!

Very cool by the way, thank you for sharing!!! Some Alpina wheels and maybe a CSL front spoiler and then you'll be ready for the twisties!!!

Gorgeous !

Chris,

It looks gorgeous.

Great job done on it mate.

Suppose I will have to finish mine now :-)

Best

Pete

Thanks for all your kind comments guys. I don't have any further info to impart, as to it's origin i'm afraid. I'm guessing that it was sold via dealerships in the same way pedal cars are today. There's no manufacturers marks on it.

The gearstick is for braking. It activates the horizontal bar on the back wheels.

Apart from the running gear it's all fibreglass - a rust free E9 !

I took the exact car to the Vintage this last year and had it displayed in the truck of my e9. Amy saw it and snapped it up...
