The VIN plates always show CS on all E9s and worldwide, this is valid for all CSs, CSis and CSLs models. As a matter of fact BMW never made a difference between E9 models and simply used a very generic '3.0 CS' on the VIN plate.
Some BMW importers (e.g. Belgium, France, Switzerland) may have popped their own plates with model specification on top of the BMW AG plate but last one always referred to a 3.0 CS car ;-)
We are progressing : Only 40 cars built after your car and we still are discussing of cars badged 3.0 CS ... Thx for your input Lorenzo... By The way, what about your other CSL
The Inka is less than 30 serial numbers built after the Colorado. Sincerely I don't remember if it already had the CSL emblem when I bought it, but I'll investigate.
By the way did You buy any automobilia at the auction? I'm curios to know who is the eager bidder on the phone who won some very interesting CSL lots ( against me ).
