14 coupes! Great gathering of the e9. We personally were able to do the Friday drive and attend the "tire kicking" session out in the hotel parking lot afterward. Super fun as the cars bring the people and the people are what make the event. Thanks to all for sharing your experiences about your conversions, detailing snake oils and vintage radio info with me to name a few. I have so much fun at The Vintage that it takes me several days to get over the adrenalin rush.

There were 10 People's Choice awards awarded and if I remember correctly 5 of those went to the owners of the CS:

Congratulations to you fellows on receiving recognition of owning some pretty spectacular CS coupes! (Please correct me if I made any errors in this line up, this is from memory) Hooray!

Scott Sturdy, the organizer of this event, made a statement at the end of the event that next year The Vintage "probably" would be held in Asheville, NC about 3 hours west of Winston- Salem. Scott now resides in Asheville so we will see if that comes to past.

I was able to add to my BMW model collection a 2800CS peddle car! Thanks to Robert for allowing me to purchase it from him. It will need some restoration.........
