This parts car is worth what?

I’ve been watching this car for about a year now, and it still has not sold. Guy seems hard on the price (same guy I bought my problematic Bavaria from) but he seems willing to sell this to me for 800 and it would probably cost 100 for me to tow it back. It would be nice to have a spare parts car, and I didn’t wanna bother markos all the time so I posted this one on here does it look worth it to you guys?

Things I need: hood, more period correct wheels, unbroken dash cover. A front seat without a rip on it, maybe a fuel sending unit and a couple interior trim pieces?

I think I gotta check it out in person for more detailed pictures this week, but just want to get a general idea of what you guys think too

The car isn’t a money maker but if it is a resource for your project then it is worth it. What I do is this: Sum up conservative pricing on the parts you don’t need. Factor in storage cost if relevant. I don’t factor in the cost of my time. If I did that I would have a BMW “job” with terrible pay, and not a hobby that supports my project and knowledge acquisition.

With that said - priced conservatively:

Strut housings: $200
AC Evap Box: $200
Door Cards: $100
Brass Coolant Tank: $100
Carbs & Manifold: $100
Complete Lock Set: $100
Everything Else (besides what you need): $100

Now you are net zero, understand the mechanics of your target car more, have helped the forum, and gained the parts you need. The e3 is the only loser, but nobody wants it...

Remember that red handled screwdrivers cover more than towing. This isn't that guy's first rodeo so I presume that they are missing.

I have an entire e3 please come and take it- alternatively, anyone can come here for the weekend and I will provide them the tools and a warehouse to strip it down.. The lucky recipient will be responsible for cleaning up his/her mess and performing a "Dexter" or a "Dahmer" and stuffing the remains into the company dumpster. I have lots of parts already off the car but my time is limited for the first half of this year and I have not had time to sort what I have removed (or even find most of it).
