We finally took delivery of our new to us '72 CS this last weekend. We have lots of long term plans for this car but for now plan to just drive it as much as possible before the tear down in order to enjoy the favorable weather this time of year.
We are sure to have many questions as we proceed but for the moment my first question regards throttle response. The engine has a very pronounced almost second long lag when I step on the gas going from a stop and into first gear. Less so into second gear and beyond. However at cruising speed I can still feel a bit of stutter as if the engine is struggling for fuel just a little.
We have all new fuel and air filters installed. What would you all recommend to check first?
