Paint Manufacture and Taiga color codes? Where to find sample?

Ok I found this link (and other that do not seem to work).
www.autocolorlibrary.com
This link leads me to believe that the code is 072-9030M

I also have seen much discussion on different manufactures. But I need help/suggestions. The body is being stripped to bare metal and I intend to use it, so I am going to a daily driver possibly weekend caliber restoration. I figure I am doing this much work may as well have it done right.

So my questions are:
1) what manufacture and the color code for taiga would you recommend?
2) what type of finish for the body?
3) how would you finish the engine bay (it is also being stripped)? It is also being painted taiga but with just a single stage?

Thanks.

Raul,

Every supplier has their own paint code numbers. You need to use whatever paint your paint and body guy uses on a regular basis or is at least comfortable with. Back in the day there was Glasurit, PPG, Sikkens, Sherwin Williams and others. The materials have changed so a 40 year old formula will use different ingredients than today as well. I will see if any of the paint charts I have show Taiga.

not trying to be overly critical, but you might find information if you pay attention to the spelling - TAIGA

hope you are able to find what the correct info. you might publish it here when you do

cheers
