For those who have torn tie rod end dust boots (but a good tie rod), I found a decent source for replacement:

http://www.ecklersmbzparts.com/mercedes-tie-rod-boot-repair-kit.html

P33-111 Tie Rod Boot Repair Kit $10.99 ea.

Shipping to Houston was $7.99 for a total of about $29 for 2, which I thought was a pretty good deal.

These are a great product and look just about perfect (as long as you can get over the fact that they are for a Benz).

Looks to me like it's the other end he did, for which you would have to buy the complete tie rod. I did the same thing.

Great Luis- now I'm going to feel dumb for the rest of the weekend....
:]

though in your defense...I did not show enough of the rod to indicate which end I was talking about.

me too...nothing like Shawn's gourmet cooking and Chris' special beers!!!

Drew,

I have three Plineys left if you make it out this way! Of course I will need some time to clear out all of the empty wine bottles that Don has left first.
