Generally, if FB posters turn off comments when they post something for sale, they are scammers. There is no good reason to do this other than to prevent those he scammed from saying so.

Also, it is the same poster in this scam....

There’s a guy in the 2002 classifieds that never posts anything with comments and sells with a fake name. Changes his name regularly on the FAQ. I wish admins could prevent people from turning off comments.

I just caught one on Facebook selling a set of immaculate 635 tail lights at a give away price.That should have been the first clue, but I bit. He would only take PayPal friends and family even after I said I would pay the pp fee. Many back and forth messages trying to suck me in deeper. Glad my common sense kicked in.
