Just for the fun of it...

I just completed 'filling' the tool tray with tools. (1972 3.0cs) This may be obvious to most of you but here's a test... look at the attached pic...

Is the tool tray 'complete'?
Is anything missing?
Is anything out of place?
Anything 'wrong'?

...and i'm not worriying about the noumber and amps of fuses(the blue cloth and window gear tool are all that I know of that could fit in that compartment)

What the hey... I might learn something! have a nice day! DCG

Touch up paint is a must.
Depending on neighborhood I would put there a can of maze or a box of 9mm.
An Led flashlight?

Heard today at the Bavarian Autosport Show & Shine 2014 someone had a first aid kit where the cloth and window tool are in the picture. Didn't see it with my eyes so not sure if it was a home made kit to fit that space.

My tool kit has the pink Beru spark plugs.

Both my coupes had Bosch plugs as OEM

Steve found the MOST obvious 'error' Water pump pliers... am looking for the correct large size!

There is at least one more 'known' error....

Keep playing! ;-)

Not sure why Arde keeps a can of corn in his, but mine came with feeler gauges.

at one point in production the window tool was no longer needed as the power wind motor changed and there was no corresponding wheel to turn nor a hole in the door card.

Steve does it again! Light bulb wrong! I have two coupes now and both did not have this bulb... Took me a while to figure it out. The bulb in the pic is a dash light bulb.

This was fun! thanks for playing.

Will take Arde's advice and add a Glock to the tray! Ha! DCG

The Sacred Blue Cloth was NOT a part of any CS tool kit. It came later. All my coupes came with Bosh. None of mine came with touch up. But I never bought one new. Or even close to new.

I am ready to stand corrected. Bring it on guys and gals.
Steve

Good call Stefan.... My OEM kit on other coupe has the protective cover!

Just to throw this out there... (cause I don't know...) what were the correct no. and amps for the OEM fuses?

Anyone? ( I mean how much more anal can we get...?) ;-) DCG

Anyone?

The answer is red, what is the question.

That means all fuses should be 10A. If you need more amps use two fuses or disable that circuit.

Touch up? Red
Cloth? Red
Fuses? Red

If form follows form like DQ teaches us then it is all about color matching the toolbox like art. Once you get that you will stop puzzling about red vs. green screwdriver market prices.

Even my electric tape is Verona, and when I bleed working on the car I bleed Verona.

What does an original spark plug socket for the ignition wire look like?

There seems to be several variations where it tapers at the end.
