Hi,

I'm changing my Talbot mirror to 2 trapezoid mirrros.
Can anyone tell me what the correct position is for the trapezoid mirrors?
I see different positions in various pictures.
Maybe a picture with a ruler or something similar?

Thanks in advance!

This post explains a bit the difference between flag and trapezoid. So a trapezoid is placed up front. But then, before I make any holes, where exactly? difference between left and right?

I think this is the best car-forum in the world. When you post a question it takes only 7 minutes for the correct answer!

the first picture is a flag mirror mounted in the USA position. the european cars were mounted at the very front of the door, like the silver car. most cars had the trap mirrors originally. i bet if you take the door panel off and look at the inner portion of the door you will find where a hole was repaired for the original mounting screw.

Yes, and about 2 minutes if you accept a wrong answer.
Anyway, you should use the Euro location, ahead. Because it is better and because you are in Europe.
I like Talbot mirrors, why replace?

While a Trapezoid mirror is correct for your 2800 CS.

I replaced my Trapezoid mirror for a Flag mirror for a wider range of vision.

The correct driver side view mirror placement for a European Spec CS Coupe is 3mm away from the door trim with mirror base even with the vent window trim.
