Trip Odometer fix?

Hi there, my trip odometer has tripped out. Worked out of the car but stopped working now that dash is back installed. Any common issue? Does the cable pull out the back? Maybe not fully engaged?

I'd agree that's the likely culprit.... You should be able to get to it from under the dash if you have very nimble hands and body ....

Pop it in? So the cable is a press fit into white housing? Or does white housing press fit or screw into back of speedo? I can feel the cable turning behind speedo when I rotate knob so seems cable isn't broken. Just not engaging odometer gears. Tight space is right!

i never tried it with the speedo in the car, i did it while holding it. took a couple of seconds.
