Turkis and Ceylon cars together (plus question)

I got these pics of two of Peders cars. Both beautiful :)

And my question, were there two nuances of Ceylon? Some are definitely more gold and some more bronze. Even when you take lighting into consideration.

ooooh, my favorite 2 colors together ... i'm not jealous, i'm not jealous ... who am i kidding ... i've extremely envious.

i think there are various shades of ceylon, and i think its how the paint formula is mixed and some of the paint companies might not have got the mix correct.

both of these colors vary significantly due to lighting - sunlight vs. the various forms of artificial lighting - fluorescent does wierd things as well as metal halide or high pressure sodium. both of these cars are more color saturated than i am used to seeing, but the color looks correct. this could be caused by the camera and the lighting.

The first picture represents how I recall seeing Ceylon in real life.
I have seen Turkis once and in real life it is much nicer than in that photo.

Thanks, it is just that looking like the images below it is hard to get an idea. Even taking light into consideration.

Or maybe my color sense just sucks :)

some more

Thanks for posting, that Alpina 2002 is awesome. I especially love the matching helmet with blk/wht checkering. How cool is that and the bandana over face. Saved that picture for future ideas for sure! I Google images searched that and came up with some cool pictures. Simon Diffey driver.
