Twin Carbs vs single 4 bbl removing Tripple Webers

My take on triple Webers:

-no doubt they sound better
-my car is faster (perhaps biased by the sound but it sure feels like it)-torque is awesome
-gas mileage is poor (that's being generous)
-you must wait for the engine to warm up in the am before going anywhere since there is no cold start idle feature-kind of like a WWII pre-mission procedure
-it feels fantastic-like a guilty pleasure-I can't wait to take it out again tomorrow to hear the 6 throats scream at the other cars on the road!

I have no plans to sell my car so I don't care about resale value, but I have all the original parts so why not go for it if you want to.

I thought the sounds improves with weber and I thought you could find 20 hp more!!

perhaps I flatter myself?

Although it was 25 years ago, I think I had to drill different holes in the air cleaner mounting brackets to accomodate the different spacing of Weber bolts but maybe they've changed that design since then.

Well, I installed the JAM kits on my coupe and Bavaria (now gone) about 25 years ago, so my memory may be flawed too!

OK, maybe I used a rat-tailed file to elongate the holes a bit. But the degree of modification is pretty minor. Nothing that would be obvious if you or a future owner wanted to go back to the Zeniths.
