I realize this is a longshot, but here goes. I just saw an Instagram post from a guy/company called "auctiondawg" that facilitated a sale of (2) 3.0cs's and a 2002tii found in a shop in Gulfport Florida, heading to a buyer in California that purportedly intends to restore the lot. The reason I am interested in this is because the shop that these cars were sitting in for some 30 years (according to the post) is very near where the guy whom I bought my car from lived. The shop sounds like a good, old-school indy shop that has probably seen every old BMW in the area. So I was hoping I could learn something about the history of my car if I could contact the right individual/mechanic. I called the shop and their message indicates they are temporarily closed due to a health issue. Not sure what that means, but maybe that prompted the sale of the three cars.?.
Anyway, if anyone knows anything about "Just Bimmers" out of Gulfport FL, I'd love to learn if there is someone there I can contact. Maybe they could fill in some details about my car in its past life.
Also, hoping the buyer of the three cars lands here so we can watch them come back to life!
