Two-tone paint scheme? Nein! But vielleicht.

On the FB group E9Lovers I posted my meager findings of celebrities who owned an E9. I received numerous replies from the few I found. One mentioned that Howard Hughes owned a CS, which he did. When I tried to find a photo of Huges with his CS, nothing showed-up except a stock photo of a black CS. His was Polaris. The photo of the black CS is overhead lit and makes the car look two-toned... silver over black. Looks kinda nice. I found another CS with an awful two-toned paint job I posted for laughs. I realize everyone will find the idea of a two-toned CS as an abomination. Still, if I were a billionaire and owned a stable of CSs, I might experiment with a two-toned paint job... Polaris over Scwartz.

Art Wegweiser had a beautiful 2-tone coupe, Polaris over Fjord (as I recall), cut at the knee-high character line. I think Art's son Paul has it now.

Hmmm... Would love to see a picture. Still, I am completely thrilled with my Fjord Metallic Blue CSi.

I like it but I’d take the black in gloss.
