At a trade show this week I was given some Xennon +120% H4 bulbs as samples and told that they were perfect and would change night to day and be easy to fit - great!
So I dismantled my UK RHD drive car this weekend and now I have a pile of parts that need replacing, and lights that don't work - but will be better when I have finished.
You probably all know this, the outer lights have a side light, low watt, and then a single halogen bulb which I think is called an H1, ie single light for the dipped beam. The inner light, main beam, is also H1. My outer lights have corroded reflectors so need changing, now is the perfect time to do that.
As they are all 5.75 inch, whereas most are 7 inch, they are hard to find in RHD format as side and H1.
Does anyone know where I can get RHD lights, side and H1 dipped, or can I use a side and H4 and only put in a H1 bulb, then just join the dipped beam wires? Is there a disadvantage in doing this?
I have seen threads where some of you have added a dipped beam relay, I guess if I do this I can then run both dipped and full at the same time - or will that create battery issues?
Thanks for advice on what I thought would take 10 minutes to fit, then just a few minutes on the web to buy the parts.
Regards C
