Undercoating question

I'm getting ready to paint my 1970 2800 and I'm wondering where on the body was the textured undercoating applied under the color coat. I have seen it in various photos on the lower valence panels front and rear, and I believe it also should be present on the rocker panels below the door sills. Am I correct? Can anyone provide a list of the stock locations where it should be applied prior to top coating?

My unrestored rockers do not have the undercoating, just the front and rear valences have it:

I did allot of research on this one and I believe Chris and Steve are correct. I am not sure about all years but every one I have seen so far regardless of year has been as stated below.

Peter ... one has to be wrong, as they are saying different things. Chris says yes to texture ... Steve says not. as i remember, the 2002 had the rockers with the texture ... but not the coupe.

my memory could is known to be wrong at times ... just ask my wife.

No the removable black rocker covers have the texture, the rockers themselves don't

Posting a close up picture on original texture of the outside rockers (from above polaris door and rubber sealing)
Somehow soft surface, but not at all sticky as you could understand
I guess this must be from start the best rust protected piece of metal on this car.
So, when you see rust holes trough this rocker piece you surely could figure it all out what's behind ;-)

Thanks everyone for your inputs - it's consistent with my observations as well. To summarize: undercoating prior to paint on rocker panel covers, front and rear valence panels.
