Upcoming 74 3.0cs at copart

If the vin is as listed "2240565" that would make it a 73 3.0cs not a 74. Wonder how extensive the "rear end damage". Would be nice to see pictures. Listing says 'Burgandy"

This is one of the cars from the Portland lot. I'm sure that @vince and @gdub0717 know the cars well. It ended up in Miami over a year ago, and didn't sell their either. They must be storing the ting in the lot and occaisonally listing it for sale.

Ive bought a few cars from copart over the years and its hit or miss. Its best to inspect a car before bidding on it. I bought a Range Rover several years ago. It was side swiped but looked fine overall and had low miles. I discovered that the outer tie rod was broken. The seller had tack welded it together. It was a fairly inexpensive and easy repair but dishonest on the sellers part.
IAAI (https://www.iaai.com/) is another resource for cars. Historically only open to auto dealers, but some cars are available to non dealer buyers.

Pics are up but they are not for the faint of heart. Despite the large gap between the front wheels and body, the engine is shown in place, carbed and missing the air cleaner. There is no readily visible damage on the back. Interior is trashed. "Retail Value" is estimated at $28,924. I think maybe not.

We've seen worse cars restored, but....

It’s much better as a restoration prospect than most uk project cars I see on eBay - you guys in the states are spoilt when it comes to rust, you can just go buy a dryer state car and side-step minimum 75% of the weldathon we have to endure if we want a “cheap“ E9!
